Exorcise

I was never one to exorcise on a daily basis. When I was in school the class I was most likely to ditch was gym because I have never been good at sports. I'm clumsy and can be uncoordinated. I have never been strong and my upper arms are almost thin enough to wrap your hand completely around it. I never understood how people could get addicted to exorcise until recently.
My fiance and I like to do a lot of hiking when the weather is nice. It always reminds me how out of shape I am compared to when I was younger and had to walk everywhere on top of the 3 miles for school everyday. With our wedding around the corner, me having quite smoking, and looking forward to the summer I decided I should get back in shape.
The thought came along when my aunt decided to put a blog about the 100 day challenge. Being that my bridesmaids shared my interest in becoming more active I decided to try it out and challenge them to it as well. Starting out was like pulling teeth to me. I didn't want to do it unless I was with some one else and I felt silly in front of my fiance working out and him just sitting there.
It made my want for a wii so much more. Just dance 2 was my original want because although I may not like sports, I LOVE to dance. When my neighbor and bridesmaid got her wii she didn't get Just Dance 2. I was a little discouraged. What she got was Zumba, which is like a very involved reggae sort of dance that includes a lot of jumping and moving around. Our first time trying it out on easy for only 20 mins left me feeling extremely uncoordinated, confused and whipped.
That was two weeks ago, and now I love it. It makes Just Dance seem easy, we use that now to cool down when we're still super amped. We have done it everyday since except yesterday and today. On Tuesday we tried out expert and not only survived but had half decent scores. Now that my body has been given a chance to rest and only have to put up with me jogging in place or walking circles around the store I work at to relieve the stiffness of nonuse I miss it. I can't wait until tomorrow morning to wake up, briskly walk 3 miles, then zumba my heart out for at least 45 mins.
When I walk I can feel all the muscles in my legs. I feel more toned, like I have better balance, I walk straigter and I don't slouch nearly as much. I drink more water, I have more energy, I can think more clearly. I am understanding there are a lot more perks than just a smaller bum.
So, if you are curious what I might be putting on my wedding registry first I have an answer. I would like the wii, with the new zumba disc that just came out for those who have completed the first one. I would like it so that my neighbor can come here occasionally, and so that I can exorcise on my own when the mood strikes and I don't have to go another day where I feel tired because I haven't woken up with a nice morning workout, or I wear myself out before I go to bed to dream about out hiking my fiance for a change.
